Want Lady Gaga’s nails? Her manicurist now makes house calls
If you’re a Lady Gaga fan, here’s some good news: Aya Fukuda, Gaga’s manicurist, is the latest to join the celebrity primping team at Hair Room Service, where stylists conveniently will come to your home or hotel to get you dolled up.
“When I designed Lady Gaga’s nails for Born this Way, I was inspired by her eccentric, yet glamorous style. Designing nails for her is really fun and truly a piece of art,” says Fukuda. “The nail incorporated Swarovski crystals in jet color and silver metal, with a vibrant red and black polish from Priti NYC. All this was encompassed on a longer almond nail shaped tip. I am excited to now share this art with the rest of NYC by providing house call throughout the city.”
Lady Gaga’s nail polish on her Vanity Fair September cover
Last night, my cousin told me about how she’s obsessing over Lady Gaga’s nail polish color on her Vanity Fair September cover:

You may know already how much I love dove-colored nails (from my post on Essie’s Body Language nail polish, a similar color to this one). I also think it’s one of the few colors that looks good on short or long nails. I thought the one on the Gaga cover was a matte gray, but turns out it’s a “putty-liscious” cream gray from Deborah Lippmann, called “Waking up in Vegas”.

It’s already a top seller on their site (no doubt with some help of the Gaga cover). You can “Waking Up in Vegas” on deborahlippmann.com for $16.
Lime Crime lipsticks test how bold YOU will go

Doe Deere wearing blue lipstick from her line, Lime Crime
Model/blogger/makeup artist/entrepreneur Doe Deere recently founded Lime Crime — a new makeup line not meant for the faint of heart. It even has Lipstick Queen’s founder Poppy King gushing: “This is the beginning of something great.”
Deere, who’s based in New York, formulates her own highly-pigmented colors of hard-to-find bold lipstick shades as part of her Candyfuture collection, including a sky blue shade (appropriately named “No She Didn’t,” which she says is the most personality-charged of the bunch); a gothy black (“Styletto“); and a pretty lilac (“D’Lilac“), among others.

Gaga at Terminal 5, NYC
Continuing with my concert-filled week, I went to go check out Lady Gaga perform at Terminal 5 in NYC last night. I’ve never been so pushed, tugged, kicked, stepped on, and clawed at before at a concert. The girls there went nuts! She worked the crowd in typical Gaga-style, but I was so exhausted by the end of it. And a little hungry. Nothing hits the spot better than diner food that late (the show started at 11pm, so we were out of there by 3!). We treated ourselves to the essentials at The Flame diner afterwards. I’m not proud of this, and I also don’t know why I feel compelled to show you all what I feasted on at that God-forsaken hour either.

Lady Gaga’s birthday present to her hair
Don’t judge me, but I actually kind of LOVE Lady Gaga’s fashion forwardness, and she makes no exception when it comes to beauty. It’s risky, and that not only fits her persona perfectly, I think the extremes she pushes just about everything makes me want to work my own creative juices. For her birthday a few days ago, the Just Dance-ing Queen Twittered this:
My long hair is back today, lavender locks for my birthday! tonight at midnight. 23. Its been the best year of my life, I’m so grateful. Xx
First of all I can’t believe she just turned 23, cuz that makes me feel slightly nauseous about myself, but more importantly, I’m guessing this means she’s sporting a look similar to the pic below. I actually freaking loved this look when I first saw it, but that doesn’t mean I’m running out the door for some lilac-hued hair dye. I can just totally appreciate this – and the matchy lipstick? I think it works for her.
