A blowout at Drybar: The blow dry-only salon
Perhaps the best part of getting a haircut—aside from the relief of trimmed ends—is the blowout. Everytime I leave the salon I feel both thrilled at how buoyant my hair looks and yet bummed that my hair won’t look this good until the next cut. Sure, I can return to the salon (in my case, The Bird House, my favorite hair studio) for a blowout any time I want, but getting an appointment for a blowout at a salon usually requires a far advance appointment and who has the foresight for that?
New trend: Scalp bedazzling?

Nicole Richie and a model show off their 'jewels' Source: Style.com
Style.com recently picked up on something showing up a lot more on the red carpet and backstage at the shows: scalp adornment. Sparkly headbands or other hair accoutrements are used to add some jazz to your hairline. At least it’s better than eye bedazzling (or eye jewelry) *shudder*. What do you think? Cute or Eh?

Finding Good Hair Product for Men
By ASy
***Read til the end for a Philip Kinglsey Giveaway!***

I’m a sucker for two things: good kicks and good hair. Whether you own a pair of Jordan’s, Puma’s, or the John Varvatos Chuck Taylors, each unique sneaker has its own personality and usually tells a story about who you are, your character and style. Like a fresh pair of Nikes, a good hair style does precisely the same.
But time and time again, whenever the American Crew Pomadeor the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shaping Cream
containers come to an end, I find myself wondering what product I’ll buy next, because I am never fully satisfied. I make do, but sometimes at the expense of too much product, it results in a heavy feeling and most importantly, a stiff, flaky look.
I’ve struggled to find a good reliable product, until now…
Bradley Cooper’s hair secret..well half of it anyway
I figured this might be a nice way to start the day off.

Bradley Cooper, aka Phil from The Hangover
I just saw The Hangover a couple nights ago (finally…and yes, hilarious!). One of the movie’s stars, Bradley Cooper, who plays the laidback, (hottie) party boy Phil was recently interviewed by Allure on what his go-to hair products are (since he does have a lovely head of it):
Turns out it’s a mix of things: Redken Rewind 06 Pliable Styling Paste, “and the other is this product I discovered years ago on a set—you can only buy it online, but I can’t say what it is because it’s a secret.”
How to tame those pesky cowlicks

Suki Duggan of Donsuki Salon
I know all about cowlicks — those baby hairs that grow in a spiraly pattern, that may be in the back of your head but, like me, can also show up by your hairline. I think I have the weirdest hairline because of them (yes, them…two on either side as I learned today).
I went in to get a haircut and deep conditioning seaweed treatment by the vivacious Suki Duggan, owner of Donsuki Townhouse Salon on Madison Ave., and she gave me a great tip on how to tame your cowlick:
Seriously, I’m so over frizz.

I left this morning for work, and literally 30 seconds later, it starts pouring — I mean POURING — outside. I had an umbrella, but still had to run back home to change my heels and jeans because I was completely drenched.
Though not a drop landed on my hair, I just came back from the bathroom and looked into the mirror to see my excessive, crazy frizz before I saw anything else. Sucks.
