The other day I was fighting criminals that were trying to break into this orphanage that I volunteer at. All of a sudden I realized, I was starving. So I samurai punched the last criminal in the face, and after the cops took him away, I went with my friends to Kebabalicious.
You know all those Turkish places Shyema’s always raving about in NYC? This is like those, except good.

Being interviewed for the Food Network - airing Aug 15
BATF had the great fortune of being asked to contribute to a new television series on the Food Network called The Great Food Truck Race. The show will debut on August 15th at 10pm EST / 7pm PST, and yours truly will make her grand debut as a certified food expert (well, blogger anyway) on the August 22nd episode. The host will be a famous American chef who already has a show on the network, but since his identity has not yet been revealed on their site, I don’t want to blow his cover (hint: he is the speaker in the promo).
Cakes & Shakes coming to a cart near you, NY
Gourmet bakery, Cake & Shake will be bringing their $3 cupcakes and $5 shakes to carts around NYC very soon — and true to their philosophy, in a very “green” way the Daily News reports.
Look out for their London Lilly (Earl Grey teacake with sarsaparilla mousse), Tahitian Twist (coconut cake, cilantro lime mousse, pineapple meringue), Hot Tottie (almond cake, butterscotch mousse, and toffee frosting) and the Whatchamacallit (caramel mousse and nougat frosting). I’m salivating as I type this.
