Craving of the Day: Belgian Waffle at the Eatery
Had the most delicious waffle topped with pistachio ice cream, sliced bananas and pecans at on of my favorite brunch spots, the Eatery a couple months ago. It was one of the specials that weekend. I still dream about it.

How Sunday Brunch at the Eatery looks like
I’ve been to Eatery for dinner before (which is just eh), but I’ve been hearing about their brunch for months now. Many of my friends unanimously agree that it’s delish. After finally trying their brunch yesterday, I totally agree. They share the same owner as their sister-restaurant Whym, so it has that same classy ambiance.
My friend Sonam and I were stuck for a good fifteen minutes trying to decide what to order while we snacked on the complimentary chocolate banana bread. We kept going back and forth from browsing the menu and quickly eyeing our neighbor’s food, which all looked phenomenal.
We finally settled on Steven’s Frittata ($10.95) which consists of that day’s preparation of goat cheese, plum tomatoes, zucchini, and asparagas in egg whites and a side of home fries potatoes which had a very Indian taste to it; Sonam had the Buckwheat pancakes ($9.95) with fresh berries maple syrup and honey-pecan butter (If you notice below, it’s prepared differently from Whym’s seen here). Though if I go back, I’m going straight for the stuffed French Toast ($12.95). A couple people near us ordered and, oh man, you should have seen the look on their satisfied faces.
