Okra at the Marriott, Hyderabad, India

Hellllo Hyderabad...view from an auto!

With my lovely cousin, Fatima. Beautiful view from the outside. Not so beautiful stench from the Hussain Sagar Lake right below.
So, I’m in India. Which basically means having the best food ever every day
Bad news is I haven’t had my camera on me for most of this feasting, though I still have some pictures scattered around from borrowed cameras. More to come on that.
It’s been hard to even think about eating out when my family has been making such amazing food at home. Today though, I finally ate out at two hotels for breakfast and a mini lunch — the latter at the Marriott in Hyderabad for some appetizers and dessert. I was too full from eating earlier to have anything more!!
We sat at the Okra restaurant inside, which serves a fusion menu of Indian/Italian/Thai style entrees.

Thai Black Pepper Mushrooms, $6
Battered, fried mushrooms with pepper, soy sauce, and coriander…crispy and succulent.

Peppered prawns, $8

Baked Blueberry Cheesecake, $4

what? it was yums.
It was really tasty but I have to say the hotel I ate at earlier (blanking on the name) was just unbelievably good. I’ll make another post on that once I get the pictures but yeah…Basically in food heaven right now.
