The yumminess I found at Veselka’s
My friend Aminah and I stumbled into Veselka, a 24-hour Ukranian diner, one late night a couple weeks ago, and a fabulous rainbow-sprinkled cupcake on display made me sit down. I was fully prepared to be disappointed, not knowing how long it’s been inside its chilly abode. But the vanilla treat was light and perfect with a cup of peppermint Twinings tea.
Cupcake, $1.75; Herbal tea, $1.50

I love the perogies and potato pancakes at Velselka. So worth the half hour wait on weekends!

I definitely have to try the perogies and pancakes, Marie. I had no idea they were known for that, and the wait is that long?? I actually have a post coming up about that
